Purpose Academy

Three Steps to Serve, Lead & Grow

Purpose Academy connects people to meaningful service at Legacy Church through three tracks. Each one builds on the last — from becoming a member who serves, to leading a team, to greater ministry responsibility.

Step 01

Membership Track

Breaking the consumer mindset and moving to the servant heart.

Required to serve on a ministry team

The Membership Track teaches Legacy Church's vision and expectations through four commitments that connect belief with daily practice.

Baptism

Publicly expressing faith in Jesus Christ and obedience in following Him.

Financial Stewardship

Recognizing that what we possess has been entrusted to us by God.

Servanthood

Moving from asking what the church can provide to recognizing what you can contribute.

Honor

Treating people with dignity and valuing the responsibilities entrusted to others.

Step 02

Leadership Track

God pours into capacity, not potential.

Required to lead a ministry team

The Leadership Track helps faithful servants develop the capacity to lead people, carry responsibility, and build healthy ministry — grown through spiritual maturity, practical skill, sound judgment, and consistent action.

Culture

How we serve and relate — servanthood, honor, prayer, excellence, and unity.

Systems

How ministry gets done — schedules, checklists, and repeatable processes.

Government

How authority is stewarded — delegated authority, accountability, and oversight.

Step 03

Advanced Track

Preparing for greater ministry responsibility.

For ordination, commissioning, and staff development

The Advanced Track prepares people for greater ministry responsibility through ordination, commissioning, and staff development, combining deeper instruction, practical service, mentorship, and pastoral assessment.

Ordination & Commissioning

Public affirmation for a defined ministry assignment or recognition of a ministerial calling.

Elders

Spiritual maturity, sound judgment, biblical understanding, and care for the congregation.

Deacons

Faithful service and the practical care of the church, carried out with integrity.

Pastors

Teaching Scripture faithfully, caring for people wisely, and equipping others for ministry.

Staff

Connecting the church's mission with the daily work required to support it.
